PERFORM WITH US...

Parks Alive! hires performers of all genres, styles and talent for our summer entertainment season. As a community-focused program that presents free concerts,  our performers receive an honorarium determined by such factors as the number of performers in a group, their experience level, and our budget for the event. All performances must be family-friendly (i.e. content must be suitable for live, public performance).

Our events are developed around musical themes, so performers are generally selected to "fit" within the chosen genres where possible.

"Interested Performer" applications are accepted year round, however Parks Alive! staff do not book our performers until usually mid-May. 

Events we need performers for include:  

Celebrate Canada Day - Kelowna
 - Parks Alive! Power Stage (Island Stage)
-  Beach Stage (Tugboat Bay beach)
  Waterfront Park

Community Music Series Tuesdays
 Tuesday evenings in July and August
  various neighbourhood parks from Glenmore to the Mission

Wednesday Night Showcase 
 Wednesday evenings in July and August
 Island Stage, Waterfront Park

Thursday Legacy Series
 Thursday evenings in July and August
 various neighbourhood parks throughout City

Theme Weekends
  Friday & Saturday evenings in July and August
  Kerry Park

  My success in this community has a deep foundation in the support that was given to me by Parks Alive! One week I was playing at a coffee shop downtown, I had spent money on promotion, and production, got paid very little for my efforts, and 2 people showed up. When I played with Parks Alive! the first time, the audience was great and I was paid fairly for my performance. The stark contrast between these two experiences paints a picture of the power that Parks Alive! has to connect a community with some of the fantastic talent in this city that might not otherwise get the exposure necessary to make it to the next level.
